World Environment Day is commemorated every year on 5th June. On this day, in 1972, a Conference on Human Environment was held in Stockholm Sweden during which there was a large gathering from all over world and people expressed their concern for the increasing environmental problems. To commemorate the day and to create awareness about the environment Regional Science City and Centre for Environment Education, Lucknow has planned to organize Environment Fair (Paryavaran Mela) on 05.06.2010 specially for school children and general visitors. This year the theme is “Biodiversity – Ecosystem Management and the Green Economy”. The following programme shall be organized from 9:30 AM onwards on 5th June 2010 in the premises of Regional Science City, Lucknow.
